What makes a place Wellness?

find out what wellness means today

Wellness is a holistic approach, and a movement toward a healthier society.

It rests on three dimensions that every place shapes:

Physical
Beyond exercise, nutrition and the care we take of ourselves, the body is also supported by the air we breathe, the light we live in, the water we drink and the freedom to move through the day. A place designed with these in mind helps sustain energy, focus and productivity.

Mental
The mind responds to its surroundings. Calm, natural light, quiet, and a sense of safety and control help ease stress and anxiety, and places that also offer therapies and complementary practices bring further comfort and support, which can help protect against depression and other illness.

Social
People need places that bring them together. Spaces that invite connection and belonging help build community and reduce isolation.

“Wellness is not an amenity, every place where we live, work and gather shapes our physical, mental and social health, and should be designed with that in mind.”

So let's build that, together.
